Job Title: Student Staff Team Member & Shop Supervisors - Retail Staff
Responsible to: Retail Manager, Assistant Retail Manager
Salary: £12.60 per hour + holiday pay

We are looking to recruit extremely enthusiastic, efficient and hardworking individuals who are able to oversee a wide range of tasks on a daily basis. This year we will be looking to recruit both student staff team members and supervisors for the upcoming academic year.
Student Staff – Retail Team Member
The successful candidate(s) will be expected to have an understanding of the organisational structure and ethos of The Guild. In this role it is essential that you have excellent customer service skills as you will be dealing with lots of people.
Main duties include:
- Lifting and handling stock, replenishment and stock rotation
- Serving customers
- Cash handling
- Maintaining shop standards
Student Staff – Retail Supervisors
The successful candidate(s) will be expected to have an understanding of the organisational structure and ethos of The Guild. In this role it is essential that you have excellent customer service skills as you will be dealing with a wide variety of customers and enquiries. Please note that retail supervisors are paid at a higher rate of 13.10 per hour + holiday pay.
Main duties include:
- Supervising staff to manage stock replenishment and stock rotation
- Supervising opening and closing the shop where needed according to training and procedure
- Supervising cashing up at close of shifts and recording takings on the duty management sheet where required
- Supervising deliveries
- Cooking and preparation of hot food, according to food hygiene and safety guidance and procedure
- Supervising use of the Paypoint service, including delivery and collection of parcels
- Supporting the online shop service
- Serving customers and supporting the team in day-to-day trade
- Cash handling
- Maintaining shop standards
